Chaos reigns in first trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage

When there’s multiple giant animals running loose through Chicago, who do you call? Why, Dwayne Johnson of course! Warner Bros. have just released the first trailer for the upcoming Rampage movie based off the old 1986 Midway game of the same name. Johnson plays David Okoye, a primatologist whom had befriended a silverback gorilla named George from whence it was a baby. As George grew, the bond between him and David grew as well.

When a genetic experiment goes rogue (dam humans!), George is affected by it and starts to mutate (or rather grow). It turns out he’s not the only one affected. In the trailer we see a wolf and an alligator both grow to immense proportions (the trailer states 30 foot tall wolf, but I’m thinking it continues to get bigger). I like that the film seems to be centered around those 3 creatures, as the original Rampage game had 3 playable characters: a gorilla named George, a wolf-like beast named Ralph and a lizard named Lizzie.

Rampage tears into theaters on April 20, 2018, and stars Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Malin Ackerman, Joe Mangianello, Jake Lacey, PJ Byrne, Mary Shelton, and Jack Quaid. The film is directed by Brad Peyton, whom Johnson worked with before on San Andreas.
