Misty Knight gets her bionic arm in first Luke Cage Season 2 image

Heroes for Hire #4 - Misty KnightMisty Knight is finally one step closer to becoming one of the Daughters of the Dragon. Although she hasn’t quite joined forces with Colleen Wing yet, Misty does have her bionic arm now. Our first look at the second season of Marvel’s Luke Cage” has Misty Knight rocking her brand new bionic arm. Check it out below!

Luke Cage Season 2 - Simone Missick and Mike Colter

If you’re unaware of how Misty Knight lost her arm then feel free to skip this paragraph. This paragraph will contain spoilers from “The Defenders”. In the final episode of the series, Misty Knight confronts Bakuto inside Midland Circle. Right before Bakuto is about to kill Colleen, Misty interjects and has her right arm cut off. Later in the episode, Misty wakes up in the hospital with Colleen by her side. Colleen tells her that Danny’s “connections” may help her get back up and running again.

It’s a far cry from how Misty Knight got her bionic arm in the comics. Instead of Rand Enterprises, it’s Tony Stark and Stark Industries that develops the arm for her after she lost the limb in a bombing. The arm gives her the ability to shoot energy blasts, control robots, and create gravity fields. Oh, and her bionic arm gives her superhuman strength too.

Beyond that, the image doesn’t give us much information as to what Luke Cage’s latest adventure will be about. However, we bet that it’ll have something to do with the re-emergence of Black Mariah (Alfre Woodard) and Shades (Theo Rossi).
