SDCC 2017: New Justice League trailer unleashes Steppenwolf

A few months ago, it seemed that things weren’t looking too good for the Justice League movie. With the untimely death of Zack Snyder’s daughter, it caused him and his wife Debra to step away from post-production on the film. Luckily, Joss Whedon was able to step in and assist with finishing the film. Since then, there have even been “significant” reshoots taking place with all of the main characters as well. With so much going on, it was difficult to imagine that they’d be able to put everything together cohesively, despite having faith in Whedon.

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con though, they put all those fears to rest with a brand new trailer. In it, we see our favorite DC heroes uniting against a new enemy, Steppenwolf. If you happened to watch the extended cut of Batman v Superman, he was teased as a taste of things to come. We also learn that he is not a foe to be reckoned with either, as he invades Themyscira and steals their Mother Box. Other things to note are the Amazonians fighting, mentions to other heroes and villains, and finally a surprise visit by an unnamed hero. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

So who could the mystery guest be that visited Alfred? I’m thinking it’s either Superman or possibly even Green Lantern. I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
