Winter is coming! HBO brings back Game of Thrones Experience to SDCC

Winter returns to San Diego Comic-Con this week.

HBO returns to their usual spot at 628 L Street (across from the Omni Hotel) for their Game of Thrones Winter is Here experience. Fans of the hit HBO show will find themselves immersed in Westeros, the world of Game of Thrones.

Upon entering the entrance, fans will be registered with their own Dragonglass RFID wristband that will capture each touch point of your journey through the experience, producing individual links with ready-to-be-shared content. The journey takes fans through Winterfell, Dragonstone, King’s Landing, and North of the Wall. Every guest who goes through the experience will receive a custom SDCC Night King Funko Pop! figure, a t-shirt featuring Night King art, and an exclusive Robert Ball episode 701 mini-post.

As usual, the Game of Thrones experience will be on a first come, first serve basis and is open to the public (no badge required), but those with 2017 San Diego Comic-Con badges will receive priority in line.

The dates and times for the experience are below:

  • Thursday, July 2oth: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday, July 21st: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Saturday, July 22nd: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Game of Thrones Official Synopsis

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all play the ‘Game of Thrones.’

An original series based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series.

Game of Thrones seventh season premiered last Sunday with record-breaking numbers for the network.

Game of Thrones airs on Sundays at 9 pm on HBO.
