Jesse is ‘Powerful AF’ in new Preacher season 2 key art

Preacher season 2 key art
Now this is how you promote a show. AMC has released today four Preacher season 2 key art images. Here we see three character images and one group image. In the group image, Jesse, Cassidy, and Tulip are seen together. As for the character images, each shows off the character’s specialty. In addition, the second season will return with a two-night event. It all starts on Sunday, June 25th at 10 p.m. PT/ET for the premiere episode. The second episode will air on Monday, June 26th at 9 p.m. PT/ET, which will be the regular time slot for the show.

Jesse Is Powerful AF

Above we see Jesse (Dominic Cooper) looking very intense. His tagline is “Powerful AF,” which you can guess translates to “powerful as fuck.”

Tulip Is the Ass Kicker

Tulip (Ruth Negga) looks like she doesn’t give a rat’s ass about what’s happening. She was definitely the ass kicker in the first season, so we’ll get to see more of that in the second season.

Cassidy Is the Blood Sucker

Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) is the vampire who provides the comic relief. He’s also a fan-favorite character in the show.

The series is based on the Preacher comic book by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

Synopsis: When Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher with a criminal past, realizes God is absent from Heaven, Jesse sets out to find Him. Along for the ride are Tulip, Jesse’s volatile true love, and Cassidy, a 119-year-old Irish vampire and Jesse’s best mate. The gang ends up in New Orleans, where they must dodge local gangsters, dangerous secret agents in white suits, and the Saint of Killers, an unstoppable killer cowboy from Hell.

The show will feature plenty of new characters since the previous season had the small Texas town wiped out. Season two stars Cooper, Negga, Gilgun, Ian Coletti, Graham McTavish, and newcomers Noah Taylor (“Peaky Blinders,” “Game of Thrones”), Pip Torrens (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Julie Ann Emery (“Better Call Saul,” “Fargo”), Malcolm Barrett (Dear White People), Justin Prentice (“13 Reasons Why”) and Ronald Guttman (“Mad Men”).

Sam Catlin returns as the showrunner. Catlin, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver are executive producing for Point Grey Pictures, and Neal H. Moritz and Ori Marmur for Original Film. Vivian Cannon, Jason Netter, Ken F. Levin, Michael Slovis, and Garth Ennis also serve as executive producers.
