Iam8bit to release entire Persona 5 soundtrack on Vinyl

If you’ve been playing Persona 5, it’s safe to assume you have the Persona 5 soundtrack stuck in your head. These tracks definitely include “Rivers in the Desert,” “Blooming Villain,” “The Velvet Room,” or the intro song, “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There.”

While the soundtrack is available right now to download on iTunes, Iam8bit will be releasing two different editions on vinyl.

The Essential Edition – $100

Persona 5 soundtrack

This edition features selected tracks from the game on four different LPs. It has been curated by Atlus Sound Team including P5’s most popular music.

Deluxe Edition (Limited Pressing of 1,000) -$175

Persona 5 soundtrack

This edition features the complete Persona 5 soundtrack of 110 songs on six different LPs.

Iam8bit has a nice surprise in store for Persona 5 fans. It plans to document the entire process of making the LPs leading up to the package reveal.

We’re so proud to be releasing the Persona 5 soundtrack that, together with Atlus and SEGA, we decided to do something a rather radical – we’re going to document and share the entire process of creating a vinyl album with Persona 5 fans, from start to finish.

Fans will be given a rare peek behind-the-scenes – via video, photos and interviews – showcasing every detail involved in making a record. This includes:

  • Mastering – We’ll visit our favorite mastering studio, Infrasonic, and chronicle how music is mixed for the retro technology that is vinyl.
  • Test Presses – We’ll show you what it’s like to create lacquers & test presses, which serve as benchmark for the vinyl’s audio quality.
  • Vinyl Production – We’ll hang with our friends from Noiseland at their factory in France, capturing the analog magic of melting “wax” and stamping records. It’s pretty crazy to see, because some of these machines are nearly 100 years old!
  • Packaging – We’ll reveal just how much work goes into creating a unique packaging experience, from design to printing to assembly.

And finally..

  • Artwork – We’ll reveal the “Mystery Album Art,” the result of an intimate collaboration between iam8bit, Atlus, SEGA and a to be announced, top secret artist.

Both editions of the Persona 5 vinyls are available to pre-order right now on the Iam8bit website. They are set to release in Q4 2017. Persona 5 is out right now for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
