Check out the sickest Optimus Prime toy you’ll ever need to buy!

We mentioned back in February that Hasbro had some huge plans this year in terms of releasing the biggest toys to date from the Transformers line. I reminisced about the glory days of having some sweet toys that put our brains to the test, maneuvering each piece into place without breaking a sweat, or the toy for that matter. Now, I’m worried because when (not if, but when) I buy this one, I’m going to have to use some serious restraint to not break this beautiful work of art!

Nerd ladies and nerd gentlemen, I present to you the Masterpiece Movie Series Optimus Prime MPM-4 figure! This is the latest release of a larger set fashioned in the style of their movie universe counterparts. Co-created by Hasbro and Tomy, the figure is inspired by the iconic Optimus Prime character in the original 2007 Transformers film, and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the movie franchise.

The figure converts from robot to classic truck mode, and features eye-catching detail, articulated fingers and an interchangeable mask – perfect for fans and collectors alike. The piece is made from die-cast parts, showcasing the care and passion given by its creators. The sleek, signature flame design adds the unique touches that truly distinguish the leader of the Autobots above all others. Optimus Prime converts in 43 steps, and comes with a Matrix of Leadership accessory, as well as other exciting weapon accessories.

Unveiled earlier this week at the Beijing and Guangzhou Midnight Sales Event, the figure is enclosed in a special glass window display, and fans are given the opportunity to take photos with it at this exclusive event. If you want to get your hands on this incredible figure, you don’t have too long to wait; the figures will go on sale starting this Summer. For a retail price at $99.99, however, I don’t expect them to last long on the shelves at your major toy stores, so you better get yours fast!
