Superman is definitely a big highlight for the second season of Supergirl. After the series moved from CBS to The CW, the Man of Steel made an appearance in the first two episodes. Now we have a report from E! that Tyler Hoechlin will be back Superman. Fans will get to see him return in Supergirl’s second season finale. Soon it will be airing on May 22nd on The CW.

Supergirl has been busy with fighting against Cadmus and other alien threats and singing with Barry Allen. But was Superman doing all this time? He last left because he didn’t want to be away from Metropolis and Lois Lane for too long. There has been a good enough break for him to come visit National City again.

Tyler Hoechlin was a treat in the beginning of the second season. As a result, I thought he did a great job of portraying both Superman and Clark Kent. Here’s hope to seeing more of him in the third season. It would seem that The CW and the showrunners would be comfortable enough to put the hero in his own show.

Supergirl Will Return in April

Supergirl is currently on a short break and will be returning on April 24th. The episode is titled “Ace Reporter.”

Here’s the synopsis.

“Lena’s (guest star Katie McGarth) ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer (guest star Rahul Kohli), comes to National City to unveil his big breakthrough in nano-technology, which has the potential to eradicate all diseases. Lena asks Kara to attend Jack’s conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she’s inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger.”

The episode is directed by Armen V. Kevorkian and written by Paula Yoo & Caitlin Parrish.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist in the title role, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater. Supergirl season two has also featured recurring roles for Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer, and Lynda Carter, star of the ’70s Wonder Woman series, as the President of the United States.
