The Defenders - Entertainment Weekly Photoshoot

“The Defenders” come together in this short teaser.

It’s been building up for several years but that day is almost here. Of course, I’m talking about “The Defenders,” the mini-series that will team up the heroes of Marvel’s Netflix series. Now, we finally have a release date.

In the brief YouTube clip, we see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist enter an elevator in the Midland Circle Financial building. Next, Jessica notices the security camera and promptly destroys it. As a result, Jones smashes it at exactly 08:18:20:17. In other words, Marvel and Netflix will release all 8 episodes of “The Defenders” on August 18th.

Netflix’s “The Defenders” stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and Sigourney Weaver. “The Defenders” will also star characters from the previous Netflix series including Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Hensen, Simone Missick, and Carrie-Ann Moss.
