Bungie unveils Destiny 2 trailer and Collector’s Edition

Destiny fans have been waiting less than patiently for the next iteration in Bungie’s epic. Well the wait is finally over…sort of. They’ve revealed the first trailer for Destiny 2 called “Rally the Troops.” In this cinematic, we catch a glimpse of the beginnings of what the story will be. Apparently the Cabal attacked the Tower, and the Last City is in ruins; now it’s up to all of the Guardians to take it all back and defeat the invaders. With Zavala, Cayde and Ikora rallying the masses, the Cabal better be prepared for a fight. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

Along with one hell of a trailer, Bungie has also divulged a few details regarding a Collector’s Edition and a Limited Edition version of the game. Now the Collector’s Edition will run a cool $250 and includes a steelbook copy of the game, and expansion pass (but who knows how many “expansions” that actually covers), in-game items (a legendary sword, special emote and a unique emblem), a customized Cabal-themed bag and a Frontier kit (solar USB charger, paracord, and a solar blanket).

If you’re not looking to drop that much cash, you can opt for the more wallet-friendly $99 Limited Edition. This one also comes with the steelbook, expansion pass and in-game bonuses. This also features a Cabal-themed “Collector’s Box” that contains a booklet with secrets of the Cabal empire, Cabal schematic, collectible postcard images and Cabal military pawns. Do note that the “Collector’s Box” does come with the Collector’s Edition as well.

It seems that Bungie is really gearing up for a big release. Let’s just hope they’ve learned from their mistakes and can deliver on the big promises they make. Are you excited for Destiny 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Destiny 2 will be available on September 8th for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
