Ready to ruin your pants? Insane trailer drops for ‘It’ reboot

I LOVE the horror genre, everything from books, games, and, of course, film. At a young age, I was exposed to the world of Stephen King, and from that day forward, a hunger was birthed to delve deeper in to the mind of one of the most prolific horror writers of our time. The incredible thing about my passion was that it was mirrored all over the world, especially by filmmakers, and thus, many works of King were translated in to film.

I’ve seen everything that he’s been a part of, from 1976’s Carrie, 1980’s The Shining, 1984’s Children of the Corn, and 1989’s Pet Sematary, just to name a few. But none of his films stand out as much as the tale of the losers club battling an evil clown in Derry, It. It was a TV mini-series, but still, I remember watching it from start to finish, and loving every minute of Tim Curry’s stellar performance. Now, in the hands of horror director Andy Muschietti, It has come back debuting the first trailer of what looks like a two-part film, with its first half titled It Part 1 – The Losers Club. Trust me, this trailer is bringing back all the thrills and chills that I remember as a kid! Check it out!

For me, I love how this trailer hooks me in instantaneously by recreating that opening scene of Bill making a boat for his little brother George, much like the opening scene for the original film. I’m so excited to see more of what’s to come, and if It is anything like what we’ve seen so far, this is going to soar high above any of my expectations.

It is set to be unleashed in theaters September 8th.
