Seiken Densetsu Collection announced for Nintendo Switch in Japan

On June 1st, all three Seiken Densetsu games will be released for the Nintendo Switch in the Seiken Densetsu Collection. The collection will include a quick save functions, multiplayer for both Seiken Densetsu 2 & 3 for up to three players, ability to select between various screen sizes and a music mode where users will be able to enjoy the soundtrack from the three titles from the Switch home screen.

There might be a chance that you’ve never heard the name Seiken Densetsu, and I wouldn’t blame you if you haven’t. Developed by Square Enix (Squaresoft at the time), the first game in the series, Seiken Densetsu, was released in North America on the Gameboy as Final Fantasy Adventure. The second Seiken Densetsu game in the series would release on the Super Nintendo as Secret of Mana, and the third game ( Seiken Densetsu 3) … it actually was never released outside of Japan

It’s currently unknown if the Seiken Densetsu Collection will see a release outside of Japan. It really is a shame that Seiken Densetsu 3 never saw a release in the West because it was such a great game that really took what made Secret of Mana great and went far beyond that with a bigger story, ability to select between various characters who each have their own story, various classes for each character and amazing boss battles.

This is one title I personally would love to see happen and if you do make sure you let Square Enix know. #SecretofManaCollection
