Extended sneak peek reveals more about McQueen’s journey in Pixar’s Cars 3

Pixar, much like Santa (hey, Christmas ain’t over until it’s next Christmas), came and visited us in the middle of the night, and left a present for the world to see: an extended sneak peek at their upcoming film that’s creating a lot of buzz, Cars 3.

The teaser showcases some never before seen footage thus far of the film, including a bit more of the journey McQueen will have to endure to get back in the race. With a few shots of his training, the opposition, and a demolition derby straight out of Mad Max, McQueen has quite a trail to blaze to recover from whatever happened to him. With the returning vocal talents of Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, Bonnie Hunt as Sally Carrera, Cheech Marin as Ramone, and many others. The film will also showcase some brand new characters, including Cruz Ramirez, voiced by the incredible Cristela Alonzo, and the car to give McQueen a “run” for his money, Jackson Storm, voiced by Armie Hammer.

Pixar has been pretty tight-lipped about the film, but the official synopsis is as follows:

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
