Chocobo Theme lyrics in Final Fantasy XV?
Pointing out lyrics to the chocobo song might seem like a small note to make, but it is simply exciting to hear any lyrics to the familiar theme in Final Fantasy XV. The catchy tune is practically asking for accompanying words.
Eventually, as seen in a YouTube video, the character Prompto sings the song in the game. Do not get too excited though.
Prompto only reveals one line as the party runs across an open plain:
“I want to ride my chocobo all day.”
One of the other party members groans after he says the line.
In an upbeat voice, Prompto replies, “Can’t get it out of my head!”
Imagine traveling with Prompto across the world, and hearing him sing “I want to ride my chocobo all day” every day and night. Well, in case it gets repetitive, he does move on to other tunes.
The party easily disposes of a few monsters in the video, before Prompto proceeds to hum the familiar Final Fantasy victory theme, also familiar to most series fans. This character sounds like a happy guy.
Going back to the chocobo theme, one Final Fantasy fan on Reddit tried to make up the rest of the lyrics.
I want to ride my chocobo all day
I wanna see them run
I wanna ride and play! hey!
I want to ride my chocobo all day
I wanna join the fun
50 gil I’ll gladly pay! Yay!
Players can easily picture Prompto using the rest of those lines. The commenter underneath the initial post wrote, “I cant believe it took 15+ games to get the first few words to the Chocobo song.”
Two repliers corrected that statement by writing that there are lyrics to “Cocoon de Chocobo” and “Crazy Chocobo” (from Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2).
In any case, it is difficult now to hear the chocobo song without thinking “I want to ride my chocobo all day.” The one line will stick in everyone’s heads, forever.
On a separate but related note, there is chocobo racing in Final Fantasy XV! Those who played Final Fantasy VII will remember the greatness of unlimited chocobo racing at the Gold Saucer. The fun side game has returned.
Final Fantasy continues to change and evolve, for better or worse. It is nice though to see a series staple such as chocobos remain an integral part of the game. Wark!
