“Replicants are like any other machine, they’re either a benefit or a hazard. But if they’re a benefit then it’s not my problem.” These words were spoken by Rick Deckard 34 years ago in the original Blade Runner. Once again, those words are spoken once again in the first teaser trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049. Check it out!

The teaser doesn’t exactly give us any insight into what Blade Runner 2049 is about – except that neo-noir sci-fi still looks amazing – but Alcon Entertainment has given us a synopsis of what we can expect in the sequel:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, and Jared Leto.

Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on October 6, 2017.
