Ben Affleck has the right mindset for his upcoming Batman film. He revealed during a New York Times event that he didn’t want to rush the film and wouldn’t proceed until he’s happy with a script (via cnet). It looks like he’s happy with a script since we have news that The Batman is set for 2018.

Former Warner Bros. president of creative development and worldwide production Greg Silverman has told Deadline the set year.

“Then in 2018, there is a second ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film, and ‘Ready Player One’ feels like an ambitious movie by the world’s best filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, that will set the world on fire. There is ‘Aquaman’ with James Wan, and ‘Scooby Doo’ will be a huge launch and then there is ‘LEGO Ninjago.’ And then there is Ben Affleck’s ‘Batman,’” he said about the upcoming WB films.

2018 is going to be a crazy year for movies. For you Westworld fans, the second season of the sci-fi/Western series will be out in the same year.

Before we see Affleck in The Batman, we’ll see him with Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher in the Justice League movie from director Zack Snyder on November 17, 2017.
