War is ugly in the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’

When we were first introduced to Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, we were shown the true meaning of the word “tease.” It was definitely a teaser in every sense of the word. Today, Warner Bros released a brand new trailer which offers us something more and a better glimpse of the film. Check it out!

Unless you’re a history buff, you’re probably still wondering what Dunkirk is still about. It’s the one annoying thing about a Christopher Nolan trailer is that you’re given beautiful visuals without knowing slightly what the film is about. You’re going in blind in his film which is a blessing and a curse. However, there’s no denying that Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest filmmakers of our time and it’s interesting to see him go out of the sci-fi genre and direct an historical drama. We don’t know what a Nolan period drama looks like but so far from the trailer it looks pretty exciting.

In addition to the trailer, Warner Bros has released the first poster for the film. Check it out!

Dunkirk stars Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins), Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road), Kenneth Branagh (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), and James D’Arcy (ABC’s “Agent Carter”).

Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada and France are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II.

Dunkirk battles into theaters on July 21st, 2017.
