Deadpool is the most mistake-ridden movie of 2016
After being in development hell for years, Deadpool finally came out at the start of 2016 and surprised both audiences and critics, grossing $782.6 million against its relatively small budget of $58 million and earning a score of 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. It also proved that an R-rated super hero film can be profitable. Unfortunately, although it won’t really affect the film too much, the film also has the honor of being the most mistake-ridden film 2016.
This is according to MovieMistakes.com, a website that catalogs various errors in motion pictures. The site reports 23 mistakes in the smash hit with Zootopia and Captain America: Civil War following behind with 13 errors each. However, no movie this year came close to the #1 film on the list last year. Apparently, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a whopping 50 mistakes throughout the film.
One of the bigger mistakes in Deadpool occurs when the Merc with the Mouth cuts his own hand off to escape from handcuffs. Clearly, he cuts off his left hand, but in the next shot it’s his right hand that’s missing.
