The Lincoln Center had a very special guest for its special screening to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Disney’s animated classic, Beauty and the Beast. In addition to bringing out the starring trio of the original cast as part of this event – Paige O’Hara (Belle), Robbie Benson (Beast), Richard White (Gaston) – the event was also graced with Hollywood royalty, Angela Lansbury. Reprising her role as the original Mrs. Potts, Lansbury brought the house down with a pitch perfect rendition of her iconic song, Beauty and the Beast, with composer Alan Menken on the piano.

Lansbury, who has spent the better part of seven(!) decades in film and TV does an amazing job with the song, more than 25 years after she originally sang it for the film. Suffice to say, even at 90 years young, Lansbury’s still got it.
