Refunds for ‘No Man’s Sky’ offered on Steam, PSN, and Amazon without playtime restrictions

No Man’s Sky was, to many, a disappointment. Thanks to almost three years of irrational hype and the absence of features that were advertised to be there from the start, many buyers were left unsatisfied, especially the owners of the digital versions.

Steam has a return policy of 14 days or a maximum of 2 hours playtime on a title before you’re allowed to receive a refund, but it’s been reported that some copies have been quietly refunded regardless of the times. However, a new orange notice on the No Man’s Sky‘s Steam page states that “there are no special exemptions available.” Looks like the time to return that game has ended if you’re over the limit.

PlayStation Network (PSN) and Amazon are still issuing refunds of the game without restrictions on playtime. Assuming they haven’t returned anything on PSN before, users will be able to receive a refund in the form of PSN currency if they go to the support chat and give reasons as to why they wish to return the game. This will be a “one-time thing” as a form of gratitude for loyalty to PlayStation.
