Ultimate Lord of the Rings and Hobbit collection is coming November 1

Middle Earth LCE Box 3D

Elves, dwarves and humans, come forth. There is only one collection, only one that can bend the fans to its will. And it does not share power… okay, so maybe it does since it’ll be available on November 1st as the Middle-earth 6-Film Collection.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be releasing two different versions of the Blu-ray/DVD collection, one featuring just the theatrical versions of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy, and one with the Extended Editions. The theatrical versions will include just the films, but we’re not here for that. Let’s check out the one true collection.

The Limited Collector’s Edition is pretty heavy, as it will contain 30 discs featuring the extended editions of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Each movie and its extras (previous theatrical and extended edition bonus content) will be housed in a faux leather book (totaling up to 6 books), and you can display them in the included Hobbit-style wood shelf. The collection will also have an exclusive 100-page sketch-style book wit replica The Red Book of Westmarch, and two original reproductions of watercolor paintings by artists Alan Lee and John Howe.

The Middle-earth 6-Film Limited Collector’s Edition will come with a hefty SRP price of $799.99. The Theatrical Collection will be available on Blu-ray for $68.99 SRP and DVD for $35.99 SRP.
