SDCC 2016: Marvel unveils teaser for The Defenders series

The Defenders

Comic-Con is never short of surprises, and Marvel is known to have an Ace or six up their sleeves. Of course they didn’t disappoint again, as they unveiled something fans have been hoping for, The Defenders series coming to Netflix. It wasn’t even just a standard announcement as they did have a special little teaser trailer that helped break the news.

The trailer is set to a version of Nirvana’s “Come as you are,” with lots of newspaper clippings and images referencing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. As pieces rip, you can see bits from each of their logos too. An all too familiar voice asks “You think the four of you can save New York? You can’t even save yourselves?” And if you’re not sure who it is, it’s Stick from Daredevil.

So far the only thing known about its release date is 2017, but I can only surmise that it would be after Iron Fist debuts. Enough talking, check it out for yourself below. How excited are you to see The Defenders finally coming to Netflix? Let us know in the comments below.
