State of Decay 2 revealed

The sequel to the well-received open world survival horror game, State of Decay, has been announced by Microsoft and developer Undead Labs during their set piece at E3 last month. State of Decay 2 is a continuation of the story from State of Decay which deals with a zombie apocalypse set in the fictional Trumbull Valley, and it’s looking to evoke the feel of rural Washington state.

The game also included four player co-op in which players could work together to build and protect settlements and scavenge for supplies in abandoned buildings. State of Decay 2 looks to bring back the elements of the first game but with a much more refined look and function.

Take a look at the trailer below.

The game is due to be released in 2017 for both Xbox One and PC. However, while you wait you can get ahold of State of Decay: Survival Edition released by Microsoft in partnership with Nordic Games. The Survival Edition is a physical box edition of the game that includes a remastered version of State of Decay, the two expansion packs Breakdown and Lifeline on DVD in a clamshell case along with a poster, and the game’s soundtrack as pictured here:

The Survival Edition is due out on August 7th at the price of only $20 USD. Until then, watch your back and make sure your supplies stay well stocked.
