Japan’s Ghostbusters theme sounds so much better than Fall Out Boy’s version

Fans aren’t happy with the new Ghostbusters theme by Fall Out Boy ft. Missy Elliot. With over 4 million views, the music video has over 73k likes and over 79k dislikes. It’s being called atrocious among other things.

Over in Japan, Sony has released its own music video to promote the film with the help or four female comedians Tomochika, Oniyakko Tsubaki, Naomi Watanabe, and Shizuyo Yamasaki. It keeps true to the original 1984 song from Ray Parker, Jr. because it’s simply great by itself, without all the need for aggro riffs, or even a random verse from Missy Elliot.

The Japanese video is cheesy and simple, but it’s actually amusing to listen to. It has vibrant colors and a pretty basic dance choreography. Overall, it’s just a lot easier to listen to or watch, and it fits very well to the premise that the new movie features four female Ghostbusters.
