James Gunn confirms Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will make San Diego Comic-Con appearance

In a Facebook live video posted today, wrapping up the final day of filming for the movie, Gunn, alongside Chris Pratt, said some kind words to the cast and team that made the film possible. After some pleasantries, however, Gunn then looked at the camera, and confirmed to all the fans that were watching live exactly what we’ve been wanting to know for so long: “We, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, are coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year. We’re going to be there. I’m going to be there. Chris Pratt is going to be there. A bunch of the gang is going to be there. And we’re going to show you guys something, uh, something pretty cool.” Gunn handed the mic over to Pratt, who, in response to that something pretty cool, stated, “Jame’s movie…ha ha ha, yes. See you at Comic-Con!”

Knowing that SDCC is just around the corner, and that there are still a ton of announcements that still haven’t been made in regards to who will be there, I’d say that this is one of the ones that many people will be anticipating. As many faces and franchises will be present at the convention, getting a chance to see “something pretty cool” from James Gunn might very well get some of the top spots of anyone’s list. Interestingly enough, I don’t think it’s going to be the actual film, as Chris Pratt may have alluded to, but I do think that a good snippet of the film may be what is shown. Who know?

What do you think of the announcement? What do you think he’s going to show the fans at SDCC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
