Watch Dogs 2 officially announced and is set in San Francisco

Yesterday, a new cinematic trailer for Watch Dogs 2 was released by Ubisoft along with an 18 minute video showcasing the development as well as new gameplay. The first Watch Dogs was released in 2014, and was met with mixed reception despite the ridiculous hype behind it. Now, Ubisoft Montreal wants to take the ideas from the first game and make them even better in this sequel.
No longer do you play as the unlikable, raspy-voiced Aiden Pierce in Chicago. You are now in control of Marcus Holloway, a hacker from Oakland making his way around San Francisco. Little is known about the story so far, but we do know that events occur leading up to him working for DedSec. The first thing you’ll notice is that Marcus is much more agile than Aiden, as he has sweet parkour skills that get him to destinations faster. It doesn’t seem like it’ll be as important as it is in Assassin’s Creed, but we can dream.

Hacking was the key element in the first Watch Dogs, but it proved to be overly-simplistic and repetitive. Now in WD2, you can hack just about everything, including cars! Marcus is also equipped with an RC jumper and a taser.

We’ll know more about this game at E3 next week and will definitely get back to you then with our hands-on impressions. In the meantime, check out the world premiere below. What features would you like to see implemented in the new game? Let us know in the comments below.

l love to play games and write stuff about them. I can't play something and not tell anyone how I feel about it. Call it a sickness, because it is.
