Stephen Amell wants Kevin Smith to write for Arrow

Even though Kevin Smith has directed an episode of The Flash, he expressed no desire to write for the show. However, he’s on board to write an episode for Arrow. Now we have Stephen Amell, who stars as Oliver Queen in The CW’s Arrow, fascinated with the idea of Smith working on an episode.

“Of course, he could do a good job!” Amell tells ComicBook.com in regards to Smith writing for the show.

“I think that adding anyone to the writer’s room, much less Kevin Smith, is always a huge bonus,” Amell said. “We haven’t had it in a little bit but in the first couple of seasons, Geoff Johns would write a couple of episodes or lean in on a couple of episodes and he did one in particular, 1×16, [Dead to Rights], it’s when Tommy found out for the first time that I was Green Arrow, and those episodes always had a little bit of a punch, so I’d love to have Kevin come on board.”

Smith has a new movie, Yoga Hosers, coming out and he’ll be returning to direct another episode of The Flash for its third season in August.

You can check out Amell in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows this weekend in theaters.
