Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows hits theaters Friday, June 3rd. Introducing beloved TMNT characters like Krang, Beebop, Rocksteady, and Casey Jones, a lot of hype has been floating around about this sequel and how these characters will be portrayed.

One of the biggest names added to the film is Arrow’s Stephen Amell, who is playing Casey Jones, the sports enthusiast turned vigilante. As we all know, this isn’t the first time he is playing a vigilante and some people are worried that he won’t do Casey Jones justice and might play the character as he would Oliver Queen. But in the trailers you do see him smile quite a bit and gives off a carefree and joking type of vibe which is very different from his role as Oliver Queen.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Amell spoke a lot about his character, even joking about how his Canadian heritage helped him use a hockey stick and roller blades. He also talked about how much of a fan he was as a kid, even having pizza parties with his friends after seeing the original trilogy in theaters.

When asked about the differences between Oliver Queen and Casey Jones, Amell stated “He leads with his heart and not with his head. He makes mistakes, and he’s funny. I actually found that he was a little closer to my personality than Oliver Queen, who’s much more reserved, quiet, and introspective. That made the experience fun for me.”

When asked who his favorite turtle is, Amell responded with “Michelangelo, for sure. Simply because Michelangelo was the party dude. That’s what I identified with as a kid.”

But will Stephen Amell be coming back to the next Turtles installment? and what does he want to do next? Well good thing EW took care of that question which garnered this response, ” I’m going back to Arrow. If Turtles does well, I’ll probably end up doing another [Turtles movie]. I’ve had the privilege of playing some characters that are established, but they have been characters that have been portrayed before, so I would love to anchor something new, a character that people would get to know for the first time through my performance. I would love to anchor a Jason Bourne-style franchise. “
