Adventure game ‘Syberia 3’ gets a release date and new video

If you’re a fan of the Syberia video game series or point-and-click adventure games, then look out for Syberia 3, which is coming out on December 1, 2016, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac. Publisher/developer Microïds has released new screenshots and a new introductory video called “Kate Walker’s New Journey.”

The video gives us a short overview of the Syberia series following Kate Walker and her adventures, and we get to see how the developing team will be expanding on the third game’s world as it shows off the new-gen visuals and cinematic storytelling.

The series has sold over three million copies and has a Metacritic rating over 80. Author and artistic director Benoit Sokal is coming up with a brand-new adventure for Kate Walker with music composed by Inon Zur. This marks the series’ first time being fully rendered in 3D.

Synopsis: Syberia 3 begins with Kate Walker adrift on a makeshift craft. Fortunately, a caravan of the Youkol people, whom she encountered in Syberia 2, finds her before her life slips away. Determined to evade their common enemies, Kate decides to help the nomads fulfill the oddest of their ancestral traditions: accompanying the transhumance of the snow ostriches to the holy steppes where they can reproduce. The journey unfolds through scenery that is by turn enchanting and laid to waste, where the young woman will experience her most dangerous and wonderful adventures, with her pursuers always right behind her…

Syberia 3 is scheduled to be released on December 1, 2016, for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and Mac in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish and Russian.
