Microsoft has just officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops is now backwards compatible on their Xbox One console.

The game was among the most often requested titles for backwards compatibility, a list that includes Red Dead Redemption, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

If you already own a physical copy of the game, then you can pop the disc in your console and play it right away. If you don’t, however, then you can download it from the Xbox Live Games Store. Call of Duty: Black Ops is on sale currently for $10 (£11.24 in the UK) if you have an Xbox Live Gold account.
