Cryptozoic Entertainment and Sony Pictures Consumer Products announced that the Kickstarter campaign for the follow-up to last years’ Ghostbusters: The Board Game has successfully been funded thanks to 4,385 backers. Ghostbusters: The Board Game II, which was revealed in April, ended up raising $767,568. That’s more than $500,000 above their original goal of $250,000.

Ghostbusters: The Board Game II will see Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz take on spectral threats like the Scoleri brothers, riding the Statue of Liberty, and battling through Vigo’s ghost army, in an original story by IDW Comics’ Ghostbusters writer Erik Burnham.

The base game features 56 miniatures including both Courtroom and Slime Blower variations of the original Ghostbusters team (Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz). Players will also get The Scoleri Brothers and Vigo the Carpathian figures, plus 12 double-sided map tiles, the Ecto-1 ambulance, equipment cards, a PKE Meter and Ecto Tank, as well as custom dice and tokens which can be used for advanced gameplay variants. Expansions starring Louis Tully and Slimer as playable characters are also available, as well as an add-on starring The Real Ghostbusters and The Peoplebusters from the hit 1980s cartoon.

Players will also be able to use their pieces from the first game in this brand new adventure set to release in May 2017.
