Persona 5 will release in Japan on September 15


During a special broadcast, Atlus revealed that Persona 5 will be released in Japan on September 15th on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The broadcast included a new gameplay trailer which introduces new characters and locations.

Atlus also revealed that the game will see a Persona 5 20th Anniversary Edition in Japan and will include an assortment of items that celebrates the Persona series.


Persona 5 20th Anniversary Edition will include a Persona 5 Artbook featuring illustrations by Shigenori Soejima, a Persona 20th Anniversary All-Time Best Album which includes music from all 5 main Persona games on 5 CDs, bonus DLC which includes Persona 3’s Orpheus and Persona 4’s Izanagi which will have exclusive skills, and two bonus DLC sets which will include Persona 3’s Gekkoukan High School outfits and Persona 4’s Yasogami High School outfits for your main characters to wear in the game complete with battle BGMs and Jingles.

While a North American or European release date for Persona 5 hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s expected that Atlus will reveal the date during E3 next month. Hopefully, Atlus will also announce a similar Limited Edition set as well.
