PC requirements for Bethesda’s DOOM and install size for all systems

Prepare to fight through hordes of demons in Bethesda Software’s upcoming DOOM game coming rnext week on May 13th. While Bethesda has uploaded the launch trailer for the game, it has also revealed required specs to run the game on your PC, along with install sizes for each system

If you plan on purchasing the game for the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, make sure you have at least 50GB of free space on your hard drive, while the PC version will require 45GB of space to download. If you own an Xbox One, you can currently preload the game now, while PS4 and Steam users will have to wait until 12 AM EST on May 11th to prepare for the slaughter that is about to come.

Here are the specs to run DOOM:

Minimum Specs:

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better;
  • 8 GB RAM; 55 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap.

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better;
  • 8 GB RAM; 55 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better
  • Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam (total amount 45 GB) is required to run the game.
  • Requires Steam activation and broadband internet connection for Multiplayer and SnapMap.

Next week Bethesda will also post links to the officially supported AMD and NVIDIA drivers for DOOM’s launch.

Depending on what region you live in, Bethesda revealed what time the game will unlock and servers will launch:

PS4 and Xbox One:

  • New Zealand @ 12 AM local time
  • Australia @ 12 AM local time
  • North America @ 12 AM ET
  • Europe @ 12 AM local time
  • Asia 12 AM local time.
  • Japan 12 AM local time on May 19

PC: 

  • Australia/New Zealand @ 12 am AEST
  • North America @ 12 am ET
  • Europe @ 12 am GMT +1
  • Japan/South Korea/Rest of Asia – 12 am Japan
