Justin Lin to direct LeBron James in ‘Space Jam 2’

Everybody get up it’s time about to slam now! Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin are in talks to direct Space Jam 2 with LeBron James starring. The film will also be written by Andrew Dodge. According to The Hollywood Reporter‘s sources, Space Jam 2 are early on the in the process but Lin and Dodge are working on the script with Charles Ebersol is producing.

Rumors of a follow-up to the live-action/animated 1996 hit have been talked about for YEARS. Recently, the project gained traction when LeBron James and his company SpringHill Entertainment signed a deal with Warner Bros. in July.

The original film revolved around an evil alien theme park owner who is in bad need of a new attraction at his theme park. When his gang heads to Earth to kidnap Bugs Bunny (Billy West) and the Looney Tunes, Bugs challenges them to a basketball game to determine their fate. The aliens steal the powers of 5 NBA basketball all-stars to help them win the game. A desperate Bugs goes out to get some help from NBA legend, Michael Jordan.

Hopefully, the Monstars – if the villains are the Monstars – doesn’t steal the powers of the San Antonio Spurs or Golden State Warriors because that would be bad for LeBron and the Looney Tunes.

Now to reminisce on the original Space Jam
