Latest ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ trailer brings back a familiar face

Last week we posted the footage description of the Independence Day: Resurgence CinemaCon trailer that we saw. Well, here it is for you all to see!

The latest trailer reveals that there is peace between the X-Men and world after the events of Days of Future Past. However, as Mystique said, “Just because there’s not a war, doesn’t mean there’s peace. He’s coming…”

Well that was full of spoilers wasn’t it?  The biggest deviation from the comics is the twist with Mystique helping to recruit and train the X-Men. It speaks about the popularity of Jennifer Lawrence that they would change the kind of selfish personality of Mystique. We also find out that Magneto had a family that he buried which is the reason why he teams up with Apocalypse. Does Magneto think that Quicksilver and the rest of the family is dead or did he have another family that he buried in between Days of Future Past and Apocalypse?

Also, biggest non-surprise is that Wolverine would be making another appearance in an X-Men film. Back at San Diego Comic-Con last year, Singer joked with Jackman that there weren’t enough chairs for him to sit at during the X-Men: Apocalypse panel, so Jackman (jokingly) walked away dejected. However, most fans knew that everyone’s favorite ferocious mutant would make one last X-Men appearance because Jackman’s final stint as Wolverine in The Wolverine 3.

What did you think of the trailer? Sound off in the comments section below!

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse destroys theaters on May 27th.
