Fox producer thinks it would be fun for an X-Men and Avengers crossover

Marvel Studios has done wonders with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now other studios are following suit with expanding their universes, like Fox with X-Men and Warner Bros. with the DC heroes. Fox has been doing good so far with this year’s Deadpool and getting fans hyped up for X-Men: Apocalypse.

There are fans out there who wants to see Avengers and X-Men characters on the big screen, but that likely won’t happen until Marvel Studios and Fox team up, like how Marvel Studios teamed up with Sony to share Spider-Man. X-Men producer Simon Kinberg is down for the Avengers and X-Men teaming up. Let’s hope Fox is listening.

During the Deadpool Blu-ray press junket, Kinberg and Deadpool director Tim Miller told Crave that they’re open to the crossover.

“I would love to, someday, in part, heal the rift between the world of X-Men and the world of Avengers,” Tim Miller said.

“I think we all would,” Kinberg said. “And I think there’s so much crossover in the comic it would be neat to see those characters one day share a movie.”

Miller has planted the seed of a possible relationship with Marvel by referencing Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige with “Feige’s Famous Pizza” in the Deadpool film.

“Both of us are actually quite close with Kevin and have a profound amount of respect for what he does,” Kinberg said. “And it would be fun to all team up one day, somehow, together, if that could work.”

It’s not something official, but of the X-Men producer is excited about an X-Men and Avengers crossover, perhaps it will persuade the higher ups.
