Much to the dismay of Turtles fans everywhere, the first Ninja Turtles film didn’t exactly feel like a Ninja Turtles film. It focused primarily on April O’Neil (Megan Fox) while the Turtles themselves languished in the background. This time around the cast and crew have promised that the sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, will finally bring our favorite Turtles into the spotlight. If that wasn’t enough, Out of the Shadows will bring in Shredder, Casey Jones, Baxter Stockman, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang as well. Fan outcry wasn’t turned on deaf ears after all.

Today, the second trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was just released. The filmmakers certainly seem to make good on their promise as the latest trailer is all about the Turtles. It dives headfirst into action, joking with each other and angsting about their mutation. Check it out!

The trailer wasn’t the only thing released today. In addition, Paramount has released a poster for Out of the Shadows featuring our favorites heroes in a half shell.

What did you think of the new trailer?

Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to theaters this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows saves theaters on June 3rd.
