The Last of Us 2 to move forward after Uncharted 4 DLC

Neil Druckmann, creative director at Naughty Dog, has revealed that The Last of Us 2 should begin once the DLC for Uncharted 4 is finished.

“Before my partner, Bruce [Straley] and I, my directing partner, came on to Uncharted 4 we were working on prototypes for different ideas within The Last Of Us universe,” says Druckmann. “Without going into specific genres [there were] ideas outside The Last Of Us.”

“All those things were left on hold when we had to come onto Uncharted 4 to direct the project,” Druckmann said. “Our next focus is the single player [Uncharted 4] DLC and then, once we have enough resources, resurrect all those prototypes; see where we’re at, see where the teams at, what they’re excited for and go from there.”

Will we get to see the return of Joel and Ellie? In the last game, Joel decides to be selfish and save Ellie from becoming a test subject since she had the cure for the virus.

Would you like to see the game continue Joel and Ellie’s journey? Or maybe you would like to see a new protagonist. Let us know in the comments section below.
