New Updates on Final Fantasy XV Post-announcement Launch

Oh no! Despite the recent celebration of the Final Fantasy XV universe finally being released and unveiled, Square Enix has announced that the game itself will be placed back in post-production and further delayed! The developers will be further polishing the game and be adding new elements to better tie into the KingsGlaive’s storyline; however, this means the release date will be pushed back another few years until possibly 2020. Waiting for the Olympics in Japan maybe? In addition, the animated series Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV will be canceled!

Good news is KingsGlaive is still green-lit, despite the exorbitant production costs compared to the animated series and game development itself. As the game and the anime won’t be coming out, they’ve decided to extend KingsGlaive from a mere full-feature film to a whopping FIVE hours of footage, placing it on the records as one of the longest-running films ever! You’ll get all of what you’re missing from Brotherhood and the game compressed into 5 hours of beautifully rendered CG. In addition, get ready for an additional 49 – yes – all-new characters, ranging from humanoid dragon queen Fafnir to long-lost twin brother Xcontis!

Get ready for the most epic Final Fantasy CG film ever! At the cost of the game and anime series, unfortunately.
