Sega will host a Sonic 25th Anniversary Party in July during San Diego Comic-Con

During Sega’s SXSW Sonic panel featuring Sonic creator and the head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka, voice actors Roger Craig Smith and Mike Pollock, Sega of America made a big announcement. Sadly, a new Sonic game isn’t in development, but instead, they revealed that there will be a Sonic 25th Anniversary event held during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The official party will be held on July 22nd (Day 2 of SDCC), at the San Diego House of Blues from 6 PM-10 PM.  The event will include musical performances by Crush 40 and Hyper Potions, including special guests and exclusive 25th Anniversary merchandise. A limited amount of tickets are currently on sale for $25 and are selling pretty quickly, so if you are a big Sonic fan, you won’t want to miss out.

You can buy your tickets here.
