Now both of UFC 2’s cover fighters have been defeated in last matches

Conor McGregor lost by submission when he fought against Nate Diaz at UFC 196 this past Saturday. Ronda Rousey lost by knockout against Holly Holm in November, who in turn lost against Miesha Tate by submission this past weekend. It will be funny once EA Sports’ UFC 2 hits store shelves. Why? Because the two fighters featured on the cover have lost their recent matches. Is this the Madden curse being transferred over to the UFC?

It’s tough for a fighter to stay at the top, and it’s tough to stay undefeated. For example, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who is ranked 13 for the top pound-for-pound UFC fighter, is the only fighter in the top 15 to be undefeated, and she only has 11 fights so far in the UFC.

But just because it’s tough to stay at the top, it’s probably not what EA would want with the game coming out next week. However, they are still recognizable with Ronda starring in films like The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Entourage and McGregor being the current featherweight champion (he had to move up to the welterweight class for the Nate fight).

EA Sports’ UFC 2 will be available on March 15th for the PS4 and Xbox One. EA Access subscribers on Xbox One will get to play the game early on March 11th.
