Just announced on Pottermore, J.K. Rowling has penned four new stories about the history of magic in North America. The first story will be released on March 8th at 9 a.m. EST. Each new story is to be revealed daily through March 11th.

EW’s exclusive video highlights the subject for each of the four stories, Ilvermorny the US Hogwarts, Skin-walkers a native American legend, the Salem witch trials, and the Magical Congress of the USA (the American governing version of the Ministry of Magic).

Ever since the final Harry Potter books and movies have been released, Pottermore has been a haven for new information on our beloved wizarding world. It has kept fans engaged and enthralled in this ever expanding universe of magic. Tying into historical facts from history makes the stories that much more believable. This detail J.K. Rowling provides her readers allows us to be taken on a ride through her imagination.

With America being a relatively new country, compared to the thousands of years of history in Europe and the UK, it will be interesting to see how these wizards discovered their abilities and have evolved through the ages.

Hopefully, they’ll leave a few Easter eggs for Pottermore fans who did their homework in the new movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them when it hits theaters this fall on November 18th.
