Russo Bros. reveal more on Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War is shaping up to be on of the biggest films this year. Not just because of the amount of players involved, but the conflict that it creates within this amazing universe that Marvel has woven. Being a fan of the Civil War comic arc, I can’t wait to see how they’ve translated to film. I mean, the biggest hurdle was already overcome, which was getting Spider-Man into the movie (as Sony owns the film rights). Spidey was such an integral part of the story, they really couldn’t do it without him.

Even though there have been trailers released, we still haven’t seen Spider-Man, which has left many fans chomping at the bit for more info on his role. In a recent interview with Empire Magazine,  Joe Russo (1/2 of the directing Russo Bros.) revealed a bit more on what we’ll see from Spidey. He disclosed that Parker won’t come into play until after the war begins, and will create an important relationship with a certain Avenger.

Russo also spoke on Tom Holland’s portrayal of the character saying,”Tom’s unbelievable. We’re very excited to present our vision of Spider-Man to the world. He was my favorite character growing up, so for a comic geek like me, this is a real moment.”

We’re only a couple months away, and I can’t wait to see this movie. What are you most excited to see? Let us know in the comments below.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 4, 2016.
