The 2016 Saturn Awards nominations have been announced!


The Saturn Awards, presented by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, have announced the 2016 nominations for this year’s annual Awards show this June.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens earned the most nominations with 15, including Best Director, Best Film Writing, Best Editing, and Best Film. Crimson Peak and Mad Max: Fury Road both received nine nominations each. As for the television category, AMC’s The Walking Dead picked up the most nominations, including three actresses from the show for Best Supporting TV Actress. The organization also added a new category for Best New Media Television Series to recognize programs produced and streamed online.
