Capcom plans on punishing rage quitters in Street Fighter V… eventually

One thing Capcom said they would be looking into long before Street Fighter V was released was how to deal with eventual rage quitters. You know, those guys who like to exit right before you finish them off, wasting your time and not even rewarding your victory. Heck, they don’t even get any penalty for doing it often.

Rage quitting is nothing new; however, more and more companies have been working on ways to punish those who do it often. NetherRealm Studios added the ‘Quitality’ feature in Mortal Kombat X that would see the rage quitter’s head explode, awarding the other player a flawless victory. You’d think Capcom would have added that from the start.

In an interview with Eurogamer, a Capcom spokesperson said, “I can confirm that it is something we are going to be addressing to make the gameplay experience one that all fans can enjoy and be rewarded fairly for.”

It’s currently unclear when this will be implemented, guess it will be a free update in the coming months with the rest of the game.
