Pretty in Pink brings back the nostalgia with 30 year anniversary

The ’80s were a great in history. From the advancements in technology and science to the beginning of globalization, this time period saw some of the biggest steps ever taken in the human race. Gene therapy techniques had begun to take shape, people were wowed by the graphics of the Nintendo Entertainment System, and and acid-washed jeans were actually a trend for many cool kids! We saw the rise of the Aviator sunglasses, the complexity of the Rubik’s Cube, and mullets and big hair for days. What a time!

One of the jewels of the ’80s that continues to gain cult classic status is a film that helped set the standard in the art of high school romantic comedies, and is a staple in any John Hughes collection. Pretty in Pink, an entry in the Brat Pack films, has become the doorway for many fans nostalgic to all the retro, and has stood the test of time as a piece of iconic cinema history. Paramount Pictures has announced that Pretty in Pink will be celebrating its 30th anniversary of the film’s release! Revisit all the memories that made the infamous ’80s a time to remember, from spandex mini skirts to Member’s Only jackets. The film stars Molly Ringwald as Andie, one of the not-so-popular girls in high school. She usually hangs out with her friends, Iona (Annie Potts) or Duckie (John Cryer).
