Lolita Dark at Anime Los Angeles 2016

This year at Anime Los Angeles, held in Ontario at the Ontario Convention Center and Radisson Ontario Airport, Lolita Dark was featured as the special musical guests of honor! In an exciting performance, Lolita Dark roused the crowd with their usual enthusiasm and energy. With members originating from both Southern California and Japan, this cross-cultural rock band melds Eastern and Western music for a definite innovative unique sound.

Headed by lead vocalist and songwriter Rayko (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboard), this talented musician is the core of the band. Other members include Patrick Cabrera (lead guitar), Rain Balen (bass), Joey Felix (drums), and Kaoru Enjoji (vocals, keyboard).

Their first album Tokyo Status drew in crowds and dedicated fans, with its “Shibuya glam, European symphonic-rock, and American metal.” This eventually fueled the release of Queen’s Decade, their second album. Lolita Dark has sold out venues for performances at well-known indie locations, such as The Viper Room and The House of Blues, and has opened for various label contracted bands. This past July 2015, they signed a 5 year contract granting exclusive recording and distribution rights to Sparks Japan for the East Asian markets.

If you missed this chance to see them live, you can catch them next at XENON for an acoustic concert and Q&A session at the Little Tokyo Village in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 11th at 8PM.
