Well, we already knew that Kingsman: The Secret Service has been greenlit for a sequel. It’s a surprising success at the box office, taking in over $400 million. But leading agent Taron Egerton, who played Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, tweeted today that they are about to begin production in a very Kingsman like way.

Slated for a 2017 release, it has been rumored that Colin Firth could be reprising his role as Eggsy’s mentor, Harry Hart. Matthew Vaughn, creator of Kingsman: The Secret Service, stated that:

“A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.”

If this holds to be true, we can all look forward to the sequel to the awesome smash hit.
