Star Trek celebrates 50th anniversary with a concert tour starting this month

In honor of this Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary, Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will begin their 100-city North American concert tour in Fort Myers, Florida tomorrow, January 20th, and will run until May of this year. The concerts will be produced by CineConcerts, known for their popular live-to-projection, symphonic concerts, and will be conducted by Justin Freer.

As the orchestra plays, the screens will feature images from the most iconic Star Trek films as well as television footage from all of the franchises, including Captain Kirk’s famous ‘Risk is our business’ speech from The Original Series. There will also be music from Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture,  Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and many more.
