Apparently Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes wasn’t good enough of a Metal Gear Solid remake for some Metal Gear fans. We have a new project called Shadow Moses, a remake created by fans of Metal Gear Solid using Unreal Engine 4. Hopefully, this version will be more faithful to the original game compared to the Gamecube version, that’s if Konami will allow them to finish the project.

The Shadow Moses team has debuted a trailer, which you can check out below.

“The first objective of this project was to recreate just the Shadow Moses environments and make a ‘museum game’ to those who wanted to explore the base with current technology,” says creator Airam Hernandez via their Facebook page. “My surprise was that after a few weeks, everybody was talking about it! So many online magazines started writing articles and I received a lot of messages offering help and support. That’s the reason I decided to remake the entire game!”

The trailer now has over 600,000 views. Konami reps have replied with “no comment” about the fan-made project, but you can bet the company is thinking about whether or not it should happen.

The screenshot below is a good example of the updated graphics and dynamic lighting.
